Trizzy's Puzzle of Time

I found this great 4 piece wooden jigsaw at the craft show and thought "WOW' how much fun I could have with this. Firstly I scrunched tissue paper and stuck it down on each piece. When they were dry I painted them and the fun was just begining - I hope you enjoy my Puzzle of Time !
This first piece inspired me to continue the 'Time' theme on all four pieces. I stamped on acetate - I found this matt board circle and thought it would make a great watch face. I am always buying clock faces and 'time' phrases - not sure why, maybe cause I am getting older time seems to be going quicker ?? :)
I made this piece using just bits I had lying around and just added the 'Captured in Time' gel sticker to tie into the whole theme - the black mesh stuff is a roll I bought from the cheap shop and use it for lots of household purposes - eg: under my keyboard so it doesn't slide around - it adds a great effect I think.
This piece I just wanted as a clock face - using stickers, clock numbers & hands, embellishments and an embossed corner - It has less on it but I think it matches well with the other pieces.
On the final piece I wanted to create a window - I used stickers, a die cut, skeleton leaves, gold brads on the door an embellishment I bought from the fishing dept at KMart, off cuts of card & mesh.

Christmas Tag Swap - hosted by Jessie

Step 1 - after cutting tags out, I applied white paint with a credit card and spread the paint around not covering the entire surface of the tag so you could still see the colour of the tag

Step 2 - using the edge of the credit card, I scored into the paint in all different directions
Step 3 - when the paint was dry I stamped around the edges with Hero Arts stamp (two flourish flowers)
Step 4 - I adhered a piece of red texture paper with a torn side. Then cut a piece of Basic Grey's (Scarlet's Letter) and edged it with black Staz-on and attached it to the side then stamped wording in black Staz-on in centre of tag.
Step 5 - I then attached a piece of ribbon with a 'V' cut out and kept the length so it overhung the tag. Then I cut another piece of green card which was stamped and edged with black Staz-on and stuck that over the top. Final step was in inked all around the edge of the tag with black (yes Staz-on) - and that is how I made my tag - enjoy !
