Just sharing some of my weekend achievements...

So just sharing what I made at the retreat on the weekend.....On these I just used papers from the Bo Bunny Enchanted Collection and some stamped images, with a hint of red - really enjoyed making these, quick and easy!!

Putting one together...

I have soooo many of these 'kits' obviously I like them a lot!! So I chucked this one in at the last minute - well I have to admit I really enjoyed putting it together - the Frame is from Scrapware, the clock is from Scapmatts, metal flower is a Graphic 45 product - love these flowers....and the frame is a Tim Holtz product (of course!) the frame at the bottom is a white resin frame that I poured myself with a gorgeous mould that I have and you can't really see on the photo, but I used glossy accents in the 3 dark squares and in the oval Tim frame. The papers underneath are from the Bo Bunny Enchanted Collection...

Off to Katoomba we go...

So this is everything I have packed for the weekend - not bad I reckon and if my MOJO fails me I will just read the message on my bag!!

Oh yeah, I suppose I should pack some clothes, toiletries, bedding and of course some munchies :)

Lets see if I actually come home with anything made...

Tims Class at Coogee Bay Hotel 2012

This is what we made with the amazing Tim Holtz - totally fantastic - this guy was the best teacher I have ever had, the class went smoothly, he was most obliging in so many ways.....Best Day!!!

Tim and I...

This makes me smile :)

Tim and the gang...

Totally AWESOME!!

Tim, Mario and Me...

So finally had my photo with Tim and Mario - just like Margaret did back in 2010 - we are hoping one day it will be the 4 of us in the SAME photo!! Now that would be cool....

The signing process...

Had a lot of fun - can you tell??? :)

Signed items...

Being silly at the end of a great day...

Playing with crayons...

A little bit of fun :)
I have bought lots of packs of crayons because all I wanted was the white one to do that resist method - so I have packs of coloured crayons - saw this on the internet and thought I would play around - love, love, love the effect...

Charm swap...

Instructions were that they are no bigger than an inch tall. I made the paper beads out of Asian paper and then painted them with 4 coats of glossy accents - once dried I wire wrapped them, added some beads and they were done! Actually had a lot of fun making them - will make more paper beads out of the hoards of scrap-booking papers that I own and will probably never ever use - I think the scrap-booking papers are much thicker will make a much denser bead - off to play....

Been busy...

Not sure doing what :) I know I have been neglecting my blog - I think I struggle with the concept of keeping it up to date and posting to it regularly, but I have re-vamped it and changed the name, so hopefully that will be more than enough to entice me to add to it.

Serendipity - just love saying that word, makes me smile! Kinda like my life, 'happy accident' or 'pleasant surprise'...

fingers crossed and lets see what happens...

Shrines...

Not long now till I fly to NZ for Jessie's retreat AND I get the meet the amazing Annette Husband! I have known this talented lady for years, have been fortunate enough to be in various swaps with her and now we get to meet - how awesome is that!

So the theme is Shrines - I have always wanted to have a play and bought some ages ago from Natalie at Scraptivate - finally made some! On this one there are some Scrapware wings which have been fantasy film'd and beads! Love beads! The shrine is 2.5 x 2" - very much in my comfort zone - the one we are doing is huge like 12" high!! Now that will be daunting for me!

And another...

I am so glad I have had a 'play' with my shrines - even though they are tiny in comparison to the ones we are doing at retreat, they are still a lot of fun!

I cannot wait till I get there and see all my Kiwi friends

Steam Punk inspired bracelet...

Steam Punk - my new favourite at the moment! Did a swap last year and up until then never heard of it - then went to Ironfest at Lithgow and the theme was Steam Punk - hooked ever since! I made this piece with chain maille in mind - clever old me :)

July - Elizabeth

The theme for this swap was 'Elizabeth' - first of 6 months with some very interesting themes - on this one I have used my Cuttlebug embossing folder Queen of hearts on a background I made using Starburts stains from Lindys Stamp Gang, then sanded the embossed background. Stamped Liz onto some textured white card and spritzed her with some glimmermist - made the flower from newspaper using Tim Holtz dies and did a Jane Clark technique with spritz sprays, heatgun and scrunching (lol) added some Collection scrabble alphas for the name - German Scrap (of course) highlighted with antique gold gilding wax and the small coin used in the centre of the flower which was also rubbed with gilding wax and some Stazon was one of 6 items which we received and have to use one on each project for the next 6 months - so off to NZ it goes and looking forward to receiving lots of yummy art in return...

Mystery swap

We received this cut out shape and had to decorate to our hearts content - UTEE, micro beads, wing, german scrap, just some of my favourite things - didn't really want to part with it, but I reckon it went to a very loving home :)
